You start with a deck of playing cards and five poker chips. After quickly shuffling the cards, your participants cut the deck in various different ways, arriving at four cards.

It may appear as if they cut random cards, and they might think you’ve made a mistake. But then you show them that the four cards they cut match the casino names on each chip. The Ace of Spades is next to the Black Aster Casino’s $1 chip. The Five of Hearts is next to the Five Points Royale’s $5 chip, and so on. And that’s not all; the back of each chip has the exact card they cut printed on it!

But there’s still one final chip. It belongs to Desert Oasis Casino. The back is… blank.

Then you reveal that all the cards in the deck are blank except for the four cards you cut!
